Below you find the summary of MIKA's concert in Winterthur... =)
First of all, I took 2 days off only to see him, because the concert was on a Tuesday...
And as it is my habit, I was the first wait in front of the hall, freezing my feet and fingers off during the next 3 or 4 hours. I would have given a kingdom for a cup of hot coffee...! Anyway, the door to the hall open at 18h30 and luckily, I didn't have to run as much as I had to in September. And yes, I ended up in first row.
On a side note, the second person arriving in front of the hall, was a girl (probably about my age) from Lausanne, where I live at the moment. We spoke French and I helped her a bit with translation.
The concert was great! First played a group that was discovered on YouTube! called "Yelle" [link?]. I don't exactly know how to describe their sound, but I kind of liked it. After "Yelle", the crew had 30 minutes to arrange the instruments for Mika, supposed he would start at 21h00. Well, we had to wait for another 20 minutes... But the concert was definitely worth the waiting. *g*
The first row more crowded than I'm actually used to from other concerts, it seemed like everybody wanted to be as close to the stage as possible. Moving without hitting anyone around me was sometimes a bit difficult, but I managed it. :)
Anyway, first row also meant that there were perhaps only about 2 metres between me and the stage. *That* is very close and I could make some nice pictures as soon as Mika stood still for a few seconds. Even at the more quiet songs, when he was sitting at the piano, he couldn't actually sit "still" on the stool but was playing while standing.
Another sidenote: When they were scheduling his tour, they probably didn't expect *that* much interest in Mika's only concert in Switzerland. In the end, they had to put him in a bigger hall with room for about 5'000 people...
Back at my parents, I was happy to go to bed without any further detour. I was again freezing my ass off (even though the taxi was heated and the driver seemed nice) and quite tired.
