Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, a story about a boy who finds out he's the son of Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea. Based on the first book in the series [Percy Jackson and the Olympians] by Rick Riordan. I really enjoyed the novels, which I started reading only recently.
