"Ennui"
a song written by: Ricardo Alfonso
-Verse 1-
Seems like we are fighting again.
Some things will never change.
"You will always be the most important thing to me",
That was the vow I promised to keep.
I am usually so peaceful.
Never quick to judge.
But I can feel this fire burning fiercely in my chest,
And it is starting to expand.
-Bridge-
My hands are tied with your insults.
My eyes are closed with your deceptions.
But as I think of an option,
A smile is found among my features.
-Chorus-
Your hair flows brilliantly over the field where both our lives were changed eternally.
Staring wondrously above, I get to kiss all those bruises away.
And though your face is pure, it doesn't look as beautiful as it's supposed to be.
Place your hand inside my own, and I will show you a world without pain.
-Verse 2-
Driving rapidly through the rain,
I hope to God that I am forgiven.
Tears stream down my face, and I am left with all those scars
Of my complacence.
-Bridge-
I wasn't thinking correctly.
Your words drove me to my decision.
You rolled your eyes out of nowhere,
And that was all you had to do.
-Chorus-
Your lips have lost their hue, they're not as rosy as I once remembered them to be.
You sleep so soundly by my side, lost in those dreams that you once spoke about.
And though you may be far, you'll always live utterly silent in my memories.
Please forgive what I have done, it was the only solution for us.
Now I can wash my soiled hands.
Ashley dear, if only you knew how to love me like you said you would.
Then I probably would have returned my gun to my closet that day.
But now it's far too late for you to tell me that you'll never cheat on me again.
You had always been my love, and now your love can forever be mine.

Song's kind of grim, I know, but I wrote it randomly just now. Read it twice, and it'll make sense. At least, I hope it will. I don't have any music for it yet, but I'm thinking there's probably a cello somewhere in there. It's definitely a sad song, with maybe a bit of hope between the lyrics. It's kind of about someone I know, but don't worry...nothing's going to happen to her.
Just trying to be honest about my emotions.
