If all citizens of Discedo could read this announcement, it would be greatly appreciated.
As you may have all gathered, the police force has fallen somewhat into disrepair of late; a lack of organization, members, and leadership. Those remaining in the force have discussed it and decided that the force is too valuable to simply let die. As such, we have been quietly working with the lawyers to attempt to put together a new system and new leaders, to better allow the force to function and, by extension, Discedo to remain at peace.
At this time, I am confident in saying that our proposal is complete; however, we can not and will not put it into effect without first presenting it to the population-at-large and allowing everyone to have a voice in the organization; after all, the police force only has the power that you, the people of Discedo, give it.
To this end, we will be having an open meeting tomorrow at the high school, to discuss and allow input on each topic pertinent to this reorganization. However, please allow me to briefly explain our proposal here, as well.
The police force will be divided into five sections: Detective work (the solving of crimes such as murders), Police work (patrolling and peacekeeping), Public Relations (keeping the police in contact with the population and answering questions), Law (the lawyers), and Emergency Response (in the event of a natural disaster). I personally have accepted the role of leader of the "detective" branch, and Credo shall be head of the "police" branch; the other leaders are yet to be decided upon. During the forum, this will be one of the matters for discussion, as well as that of the laws (which I will leave to those who know them best to elaborate upon).
As well, interested applicants to the force can apply at the meeting, or by speaking to myself or Credo-or another member of the force.
If you have concerns or comments, please feel free to leave them here; however, I also suggest you attend the meeting as mentioned.
