I am not quite sure, but perhaps there could be many a reason. Perhaps someone received this egg and hadn't wished to take care of it? Or do you not have a pet? Then would you not allow someone to touch it? Someone could quite possibly examine it for you, no? I am not of the qualifications, but someone else surely could for you~

If they couldn't take care of it, they shouldn't have gotten it in the first place. Or they should have taken responsibility and given it to someone who could take care of it. Not someone who doesn't want it.
