Pain hurts
So the x-ray makes it official. My finger is, indeed, quite utterly broken,
It was injured a few weeks ago and only now the swelling went sown enough to realize that something was really wrong... so I went to the hospital.
I have weeks to go on a music gig to make my living between now and then. I've been playing for three weeks with a broken finger. Difference is... without rigid splint, my finger may never be right, again... and with it I can't play music. Already my finger points in the wrong direction... by a lot.
I fell... and the swelling hid the damage. Will I ever be a musician/magician again? Will I need a surgeon to re-break it so that it may heal properly?
The current splint hurts like a knife in a joint.
I hope to not repeat this stuff. Very not fun.
Not happy.

p.s. part of the problem... I've dropped 20% of my body weight but my prescriptions are still for the "fat man". -H.
