The new person!

Ahh... have I got your attention? Are you waiting to see what I will say? Do I have you hanging on my every word? Haha... it has been an interesting week for me. Beyond the usual work thingy, life has been pretty quiet, that is until tonight!!!!

Tonight my evening began with hearing from my best friend/big sister Christine whom I have not talked with in a while. I found out that she is moving back to Victoria and will be living just a few blocks down the road from where I will be. This makes me very excited!!! (does the happy dance of joy!) As it turns out, I will be helping her move and she will then be helping me move! It is a win win situation.

The next piece of excitement came in the form of a beautiful, intelligent, and interesting woman by the name of Katherine. It turns out that she has taken several Greek and Roman Studies courses from UVic and that we share a lot of other similar interests. But I am jumping ahead. How did I meet this woman you might ask? Well I haven't... yet. What this means is that we have seen photos of each other, and chatted a lot, but we have not officially met face-to-face. This again begs the question of how I "met" this girl. Part of me is ashamed to admit it but I submitted a profile to one of those internet dating websites. I have tried them in the past and never had any success. Then she dropped me a line to initiate contact. I know what you are thinking... "this can't possibly work". And a while ago I may have agreed. But not now. This woman seems very interested and we have set up our first "meeting" for tomorrow night at 6pm. All going well, I just may be back on the wagon, as the saying goes. Needless to say, her intellectual interests have me intrigued and she feels the same way. That said, I will see how things go tomorrow night before I make any judgements, but I just finished an hour-long chat with her about almost everything and she still seems interested. So I shall enjoy the excitement and dance under the flowing petals as I usher in the coming day... until next time my friends...
