The champions have suffered a great deal this week. Brooke is dead, killed by a demon and Destiny nor Cordelia recieved a vision. Not only that Gunn was with her and the attacker got past him and got to her. Angel was only moments away. Everyone is at a point where they are placing blame on themselves added to the sadness that comes from loosing someone they cared about. I did not know her very well, although I remember her at Christmas, and how happy she seemed and how she seemed to mak Mike and his children happy. I feel bad for them and wish that there was something I could do for everyone to ease their sorrow. Mostly Gia and I have just been there, to listen to help.
Where Destiny had not had many vision for a while before this now she is being flooded, we do not know whether to trust anything, because we have been so wrong believing in these powers that betrayed them so clearly. Until the answers are found, we have been stepping up patrols and working harder to to cover our half of the city, as Angels team is doing with their half.
The vision or non vision that took place in Sunnydale, ended up being a good and bad thing. Getting to patrol with Tara was enjoyable. I do believe I have made a good friend in her. She listens and is genuinely nice. She has offered also to help me get better aquainted with this century. Another thing we found in common is how we came to be in our groups of fighters. We both found ourselves in love with people already in these closely knit groups and at time have felt on the outside trying to find a place where we fit in. It was good to talk to someone who understood how this felt.
I asked Gia how it went being paired with Mr.Giles. I think in the end it turned out to be the best thing for her. She said she had sung with him that she too had experienced the almost starting on fire, however Mr.Giles was able to reach her and I think, I have great hope that she will begin to heal from the things her own watcher had done to her. I wish only for her happiness. I will do everything in my power to make certain she is safe and perhaps I can help her be happy.
Rhiannon has been acting pecular since the other night, even before Brooke death happened. I can not place it or what it is that is different, but it is there. I'm not certain if anyone else has noticed, I am sure Oz has of course. She just seems off from normal. I hope that she is okay, and that she would ask for help if she needed it. She is so used to being the one taking care of everyone else, I do not know if she would come to any of us if she ever needed help herself.
I have plans with Gia this evening after patrol. Perhap we will order a pizza and watch a movie. I would take her out someplace nice however Alex had to leave on some emergency and I do not wish to be that far away from Destiny in case she needs us. However it is always nice just to sit in company with Gia, even if it is just at the apartment watching movies.
