Still in love with my BMW

Собственно это мой коммент в дискуссии на Кворе в ответ на критику БМВ. Решил сохранить для себя на память

High maintenance? Really? My current BMW430 2016 is the first car in Australia I had for more than 5 years. Since 1995 I owned 13 different cars from Hyundays to Mazdas, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan 350Z and 370Z. For all of those cars I had to pay maintenance and some repairs. For BMW over 6 year it was zero cost. Scheduled 5 year service was included in purchase price that was negotiated much lower than RRP. The last service, which basically was oil and filters change, I did myself. The cost was the premium oil on special and filters - well under $100. The rest of the service is just visual inspections and checks. No breakdowns over 6 years. I am not an auto-mechanic, but I am technically minded and can easily do basic maintenance and repairs, including brake pads and rotors replacement, myself. After falling in love with BMW, I convinced my wife to switch from 370Z to MINI Countryman (owned by BMW). The same story - zero maintenance cost over 5 years. Now I have no feeling for Japanese cars, except Mazda, which I hate. I had 3 Mazdas and my last Mazda6 made me feel old, like my life was over. I owned it for only 10 months. One day when I was completely depressed and bored by driving it, I went to BMW dealership and bought the BMW430. I was re-bourn. And 6 years on I do not feel old any more, although I am over 60 and retired. BMW is a fantastic car to drive. I also drove a lot in rental Mercedeses and Audi. Still BMW is the best.
