Not by choice, I'm afraid, but I'm managing all right. I had a rather bad run-in with some pirates, but that's all taken care of now.

Did you see on the Network today, Iacho would have us search for pirate treasure?

Yes, I saw that. Do you mean to follow his instructions?

I didn't, but I'm already here anyway, and it seems silly not to look while I'm already at it. ...And in any case, even if I do find one, nothing says I have to give it to him.

What will you do with it if you don't give it to him? Keep it in your room with everything else, I suppose?

Well, try to find out what it is that's so special about it, I suppose, that he wants it so badly. You remember what happened the last few times the deities asked for nonsense things, after all.

Yes, of course. But I have some sense that this is all rather different.

You think there's something to these things they're asking for?

[misterblackbird]

Given the message that appeared on the Network when this all began, I do think there's something to it, yes. Whether all their promises will come true, I don't know. But I do think there's something to it.

Well, today it's dubloons, it seems. Do you remember what they asked for the days before this?

[misterblackbird]

Yesterday it was gasoline containers, and the day before it was stones of a certain kind, and the day before that it was something rather like stones or gems--save that they weren't like any stone or gem I'd ever seen.

[primrosella]

...Well, if it weren't for the containers yesterday, I'd say they were all things that are round, or perhaps somehow precious. But I haven't the slightest idea how that one might fit in, so I suppose it can't be so simple as that.
