[Accidental Video Post]

[And here is Rosella, sitting in what appears to be the hold of a ship, hands and feet tied with rope and looking quite disgruntled about the whole prospect. It's fairly dark there in the hold, and the sound of water splashing is close and distinctive; every so often, a faint shout can be heard from somewhere far away as ( Read more... )

[It seems not everyone above deck was part of the crew. At least, the dress of this one in particular doesn't quite look pirate-ish. Well, except for the hat. Yeager is slumped half against the side of the ship and half against a life boat asleep. That was quite the sleep spell, Princess.]

[ooc: You play a character for King's Quest. That is simply amazing!]

[She's certainly come a long way since the first time she tried that spell, considering nowadays it actually knocks out everyone else but her, as opposed to regrettably catching herself in the middle of it as well. Such are the perils of cutting corners with magic.

And Yeager may not look like a pirate, but it's not going to deter her from ransacking his pockets while he's asleep anyway.]

[OOC: Thank you! I've had her a long time and I love her a lot. ♥]

[Cutting corners? Stirred that cauldron three times clockwise instead of five, did she?

As for what he has in in his pockets: a menu for the restaurant he is currently employed at in the City, ammunition for a shotgun, and currency from his own world. But alas, none of those objects requested by their landlords.]

[Hey, she was kind of in a hurry, okay. Who knew that a pot and a cauldron were two different things, and you couldn't just substitute a kitchen stove for a charcoal brazier. Really.

Fortunately, the ammunition means basically nothing to her, so she leaves that where it is; the menu she regards with some interest (because food is always interesting, in its own right), but she leaves that, too. And the currency, she debates; practicality would say to take it, but it's not precisely what she's looking for here...and there are limits to acceptable "borrowing", really.]

[She could always dress them up to look like the rewards that were requested. A little bit of tape, glue, and some glitter. They will never be the wiser.

And how strong is that spell of hers? One of the crew flops off a barrel of fish and whatnot. Hard to say if he woke up dazed or if he was just at a precarious angle and finally gravity took its toll.]

[It's strong enough to keep pretty much everyone under for quite some time...but then again, ransacking people's pockets does tend to be a fairly noteworthy happenstance. Surely it wouldn't be unreasonable for someone to be nudged awake in the middle of it.]

[Then the pirates snore on as the waves taken them wherever the wind dictates. The sails are full and who knows where they will land or even truly where they are.

Hard to say what actually actually prods Yeager awake, but he is terribly drowsy and manages to knock the hat off his head in the process of rubbing his eyes. Hello there, blurry form.]

Guten tag.

[Alas, German is not a language Rosella immediately recognizes, and she's reasonably startled by the awakening gentleman anyway, so she jumps back a step and brandishes her shard of glass like she's going to do damage with it or something.]

Oh!

[He holds his hands up in surrender with a wide smile and small chuckle. Still getting the spell out of his system so he doesn't quite recognize what object she is pointing at him, but recognizes the stance well enough.]

Zis is ze awkward situation, ja.

[All right, well, that sounds a bit more like English...and it's not as though she's never heard an unusual accent before. She's still tense, still on high alert, but her expression is turning less frightened and more wary.]

Rather awkward indeed, I must say. I wouldn't...I wouldn't move if I were you.

Oh, no, no. Zere will be no moving, ja.

[He is still holding up his hands, but he doesn't seem overly concerned. Surprisingly cheerful really. But he notices the crew.]

I wasn't aware zis ship had a nap time. Vell, I suppose zere is a lot to learn on the first day.

The...first day?

[She backs away a little, but her wariness is now gradually melting away into curiosity.]

Do you mean to say this is your first day on the ship, or your first day here at all?

On zis ship. I have only been in zis City for a few short weeks. Zere was mention here and zere about ze curses, but zis is something far, far different, ja.

[Wonderful. Yeager puts his hands down then.]

[Nearby, a pirate makes a vaguely snorting noise as he rolls over in his sleep, which earns him a quick glance from Rosella before she turns her attention back to Yeager.]

You're not one of the ones who grabbed me.

You are correct. Coming on board zis ship seemed a better place to be zan wandering about on a empty island.

[He stands brushing off his pants as he does.] I wasn't aware zere were captives. Were you ze only one?

[She nods slightly.]

I was the only one taken when they grabbed me, at least. And I didn't see any others in the hold. Didn't you know they were pirates?
