You traded a yam for a film?

...Er, among other things, yes.

It's a rather unusual trade, I must say.

People seemed to be in the mood to trade unusual things yesterday. And I got rid of a few of my own, it seems, if the missing odds and ends from my room are any indication.

You actually traded things away? I'm more than a little surprised.

Well, just the yam and some matches. Oh, and a few coathangers. And an iron bar, a pink hairbrush, and a handful of dried acorns.

...I think that's everything.

I certainly hope it is. I think it would take some time to try and take stock to determine otherwise.

[ooc: I have a cold. Can you tell?]

Not so much as you might think. I do know where everything is in my room, you know.

[OOC: AUGH that's been going around lately! /hugs and chicken soup]

Do you really? I find that rather remarkable.

Perhaps that's why you do so well working in the library.

[ooc: Yeah, I got mine from an anime con this weekend. So I apologize for weird, rambly, grammatically-questionable comments here...]

I know it's a mess, but it's still my mess. And there is a semblance of order to it, even if it's not the most obvious.

...And come to think of it, you're right, that does rather sound like the library, doesn't it?

[OOC: Not a problem! I will invoke my questionable-grammar-fu and carry us home. o/]

Rather a bit, yes.

Do you find things when you're not looking for them more than when you are?

Reply

primrosella June 1 2011, 03:32:51 UTC
Well, sometimes. Usually I'm only looking for the things I do need, but I do stumble across a surprise every so often.

misterblackbird June 1 2011, 04:32:08 UTC
But it isn't something you've forgotten, surely. Not if you know where everything is.

Things can be a surprise without being forgotten, you know.

...Are you really so interested in my room? Or is this all leading up to something else?

Reply

misterblackbird June 1 2011, 13:49:07 UTC
So you may have things in your room that you never knew were there?

It's not really leading anywhere at all. I was only curious.

I may have things in it that I haven't seen in a very long time. But unless someone's been roaming about in here without me, I don't think they could be things I never knew of, no.

...Oh. I'd only wondered because, er, there are...so many other things to talk about, it seems.
