That's very generous of you, Rosella.

It'll make things more fun for everyone, don't you think? After all, the fun of a ball is getting to dance, and if one doesn't know how, then it rather defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

I do think. Although I haven't been to a proper ball in a while, I'll have to brush up.

Why, perhaps you'll have to attend one of our practices, then. It does make perfect, after all.

That's what I've been brought to understand, yes. Maybe Susan can help you.

I'd like that very much! The more the merrier, certainly. And it'd be especially nice to have a few girls that know how to dance, as well, since I think it's much more difficult to learn to lead than it is to follow.

Well, if you like, I can ask my whole family to help, although I don't know how willing they would be.

Well, it'll depend on how many people are interested in learning, really. If it's only one or two, there shouldn't be any need to trouble your whole family for it. But if quite a few people are interested, and it's more than I could manage on my own, then the help would be very much appreciated, however many are willing to come.

Well I'll be coming either way.

Do you remember enough to avoid stepping all over my feet, at least?

I'm not that out of practice.

Goodness, that's quite a relief. That's always the worst part of learning, you know--all the tripping involved.

I'm rather sure that most men who know how to fight with a sword well can learn to dance quickly.

A fine duel does rather look like a dance, doesn't it? I suppose that's very true. Though I think the one is far nicer than the other, really.

Well it's certainly more comfortable to have a pretty girl in your arms.

So long as you don't step on her feet, at least. Otherwise she might be inclined to kick in retaliation.
