Quest 201

Half a week now and still no sign of Rumplestiltskin. Or at least, no sign of him on the Network, anyway, either of his own accord or of someone else's. But that's good, isn't it? So much the better that he's keeping quiet for now, even though I still can't help but imagine that it won't last for long. He certainly seemed eager about attacking me, and I'm certain he's even more eager now that I've gotten away when he almost had me. He'll try again, I'm sure of that. It's only a matter of time.

But of course, while I have this time, I ought to make good use of it. What have I learned about him, then?

--Has a Network device
--Calls people "Master" or "Mistress"
--Knows the story of Rumplestiltskin
--Lies to seek help
--Can change its voice to sound like a person
--Can climb up the side of a cliff
--Smells like...some awful smell, whatever it was, that stuck to me
--Pulled off his own leg to throw at me
--Wasn't noticeably harmed by being shot
--Webs
--Said something about a gift?

Hmph. Hardly a gift, throwing its own leg at me. And what an awful dream I had afterwards, too. Having nightmares is bad enough, waking up screaming and all in a fright, but that--ugh, what an awful feeling.

I'll just have to be more careful. And start finding other ways to defend myself, too--the stone saved me in a pinch, but I'd really rather not find myself trapped inside of someone's car trunk again. Or dumped in the ocean, for that matter.

[Diary #201 has been added to Rosella's Journal in Inventory.]

[Voice Post]

...Oh, honestly. Whatever this curse is, it's an absolutely ridiculous one. First I found myself the whole morning running around doing errands for people--because it seems everyone needs an errand run today, and they won't help you with whatever one you're on at the moment unless you agree to run one for them first!--and it took hours just to get back to the first person that needed the help. And then when I went to the Library, I've found myself hearing creaks and groans and scratching noises the whole time, but no one else seems to hear a thing!

At least the Library has been mostly uneventful, though. A bit spooky, yes, but nothing too troublesome. It gave me time to think a bit, and to write a bit, and to look at the reward I earned myself for running all those errands this morning. Really, it's the funniest thing--I had a little crown just like this, once upon a time, but that was all the way back in Tamir, almost two years ago now. How strange that another one, just like it, should end up here?

Well, in any case, I suppose it's about time I started to head for home. I think I've done all that I can here, for the moment.

[Fabric rustles near the microphone as Rosella moves to turn the device off, and the feed ends with a click. However, a few minutes later, it jostles back on, and a new bit of audio is added to the post as music begins to play.]

"Okay! Show me your performance!"

...What in the world?

"Are you ready? Let's see your energy!"

I beg your pardon?!

"Step! Step! One, two, step!"

[And once again, the audio clicks off.]

[OOC: I am a terrible person and should feel bad. So Rosella's kind of shuffling through genres today: this morning she was in adventure-mode and got sent out on a fetch quest, and then entering the Library switched her into more of a Myst-style creepy mystery game, and now that she's back out again, it's time for my personal favorite, rhythm games. Namely the dancing variety. ♥]

taking care of business, something wicked this way comes, deadlier than cupid's bow, curse: falcon punch, at least it's not greensleeves, adventures, rosella's journal, heck yeah i can teleport, augh seriously wtf, it turned into a ballroom blitz, behold my mad skills, a modern sort of princess, affected, gdi betty we're done professionally, game over for rosella, what is this i don't even, oblivious rosella is oblivious, la femme rosella
