I went out to the forest because I thought--it sounded as though someone was in trouble, and hurt, and might've been caught in the blizzard, so I went out looking. But it wasn't a person at all. It was all just a trick by a monster.

It just knocked me down. I'm a bit scraped up and I hit my head on the car, but it didn't get me. I got away in time.

Yes. It changed its voice to sound like a person in trouble, and then screamed for help and said it was hanging over the side of a cliff and couldn't get back up again.

Just be careful, because I'm sure it'll try again with someone else. I first heard it on the other day on the Network when it was telling the story of Rumplestiltskin, and that was why I went to look. It said it was hurt, and then we had this blizzard, and I just thought...

I just thought that--even if it was a trick, even if all this happened, isn't it still better than if it had really been someone in trouble and no one went to help?

I suppose I ought to have known better, really. Perhaps I ought to have expected, more than I did, that it might be a trick.
