[Voice Post]

[The audio begins with Rosella, sounding positively exasperated, with a fair amount of rustling, shuffling, and clattering going on in the background.]

All right, honestly, I know I tend to keep my room rather on the messy side, but throwing it all outside is hardly a proper solution for getting it cleaned up! It's absolutely ( Read more... )

rosella is not amused, taking care of business, curse: spring cleaning, so farfetched it's gotta be true, next time be more careful, augh seriously wtf, do you believe in magic, your princess is in another castle, little princess in a terrible mess, affected, what is this i don't even, all the cool kids know magic, a bit tied up at present, home is where the heart is

Rosella, if I may, why did you have nails, boards, and rocks in your room?

Hm? Oh, hello, Cain. It's because I picked them up, of course.

And why did you 'pick them up'?

Well, the rocks were generally because I thought they looked interesting and had a bit of space in my pocket for them at the time. I rather forget how I came across the boards and nails, but one never knows when one might need one. They're rather small boards, though.

I see.

But, all the same, as to the boards and nails, don't you think you could have gotten a board or a nail when you needed one rather than keeping them on hand like that?

Well, suppose I didn't realize I needed one until it was too late, and then there wasn't any time to go find one? Or in the case of the nails, suppose I needed...oh, say, something long and thin to poke a key out of a keyhole? Then I'd make do with a nail, since I'd have one right on hand. It's mostly due to things like that, really.

And yet, somehow, if you've all these things in your room, I wonder how you'd have them on hand when you needed them and weren't in your room.

Oh. Er. Yes, well...they weren't in my room originally. They started out in my pockets, and then rather just, um, ended up in my room. Eventually.

You must have very large pockets.

You think I'm strange for carrying things like that around with me wherever I go, don't you.

Just a bit. It isn't as though I don't have a few peculiar things with me, but not quite so many things as it sounds like you carry about.

I can't help it, it's an old family habit. I picked it up from my father, who in turn picked it up from his--the rules of adventuring and all that.

'Picked it up' in a rather literal way, I'd say.

But of course. First you pick up the rules of adventuring, and then you learn to pick up everything else, too.

It starts off innocently enough. How unfortunate that you now have to pick everything up again.

I suppose it's about time I went through it all again, anyway. I just hope the really important things didn't get damaged when they were all flung out here this way.
