Why, thank you, I'm quite flattered you think so, Caspian.

[Pause.]

...Er. But if you'll pardon my asking, may I ask what makes you say so?

I see you've faced dragons, well...a dragon...or is it dragons because each head is an individual dragon?

...Oh. With three heads? No, it's...only one dragon, just a three-headed one.

[Now figuring maybe this isn't an adventurous memory.]

Well, you lived to tell the tale, that is if you want to.

I did, mostly thanks to the timely arrival of my brother. He managed to slay the dragon and rescue me, you see.

You've found a picture of it, haven't you?

I have...would you like to have it back?

I'm...really not sure, actually. If it's of what I think it is, I'm not sure if it's really a sight I'd like to see again.

The dragon ravaged my kingdom, you see, and the only way it would stop is if we sacrificed a maiden to it. When the time came to choose, I volunteered to go.

[A pause.]

Y-you volunteered, knowing what it might do? Thank the lion for your brother's timing.

Well, I wasn't about to ask some other poor girl to go die for my sake. And it is my kingdom. It was my duty and my responsibility to go, really.

But yes, Alexander got there just in time to save me. And it was quite a surprise, too. I'd thought, by that point--

[Paaaaaaaaaaaause.]

Well. I wasn't expecting anyone, honestly.

Well I am very glad for that.

[...Pauuuuuuuuusssssssse.]

I also have a photograph of you and a unicorn.

Do you? Let me see, that must've been from when I was in Tamir. Which means there's likely a lovely green field with wildflowers all around, isn't there?

That looks about right. Is the unicorn a friend of yours?

Reply

audio; primrosella April 8 2010, 01:49:47 UTC
In a manner of speaking, yes. He was quite charmed by me, really.

I still have yet to meet a Narnian unicorn.

If your Narnian unicorns are anything like the one I met back home, I'm rather not surprised that you haven't. They tend to be quite skittish and fearful of people, really. That one I met ran away from me quite a few times before I finally managed to befriend him.
