So I've been kinda uninspired lately. Being stuck in a house full of crazy siblings while it snows terribly and knocks out the internet for 24 hours does that. During that time I finally completed Psychonauts. Definitely the best game I've played in a while and goddammit THE ENTIRE WORLD NEEDS TO PLAY THIS GAME and anything else by Double Fine, at that.
Also, *spoiler* watching Raz kiss the lobe of every single brain that belonged to his fellow campers for whatever reason was almost as hilarious and face-palm inducing as watching him sneeze his brain out and only get it around by using telekinesis, while his body wandered off zombie-like moaning about TV.
God this game is fucking awesome (Black Velvetopia SCENERY PORN level) and squick inducing (FUCKING. MEAT. CIRCUS.) like I've never seen before.
Anyways, I can't sleep because I read
this rage-inducing, utterly unbelievable, and absolutely horrifying article and it got my blood fired up, so I spent the last hour browsing Youtube.
And then I came across this:

I don't know how I got to it, but when I saw the name I recognized it in an instant.
Just, oh my God I mean I had this on video cassette when I was little. This came out in 1992 (I think) and back then, THIS was cutting edge animation. I watched it almost every single day of my freaking life until we lost it.
Looking back on it now, this was probably one of the most inspirational things that I ever watched and I never really realized how much it meant to me until now. This was about...15-20 minutes long, I think, and is a series of shorts done by 3D animation artists from all over the world. Sort of a kid version of Mind's Eye, I've heard.
The opening was always my favorite part, but it ties with this one:

Reminded me of Tron a lot, which was why I took to it pretty well. And it holds a lot of truth if you kinda listen to the lyrics.
Anyways, I'm gettng shakey so now is a good time for sleep.
