[Letter to Snape]
Headmaster Snape,
I spoke with Kurt about Crane and it seems that the Doctor is collecting undead in order to study them. Believing that the ghoul was an undead animal, he had planned to send it to Crane for his use. I would like to give Crane the benefit of the doubt that he is being kind to his guests, but I don't think that sort of falsehood is necessary.
I have also asked Doctor Octavius if he knew about this and he has told me that he knew for some time that Crane was experimenting on creatures that no one would miss. He feels that it's best to wait on the matter until it affects someone living.
