I spent a week back in GA, to see family, attend a reunion, and see my grandmother who's been in a nursing home and hasn't been doing well. I last saw her Tues. afternoon
I got back to Salt Lake yesterday (Wed.) around 1pm. And I just got a call (2:30pm-ish) that my grandmother had passed away sometime around 4am this morning.

Anyways, I'm doing okay. I've generally 'made my peace,' and while I may have some lingering guilt ('So... does that mean she's been suffering this long just to hang on until I made it out to see her one last time... and I can't be sure she was even cognizant of who I was when I did...?')... I -am- glad I was able to visit her before she passed on, and it does make things a little easier.
Just thought I'd give a heads up for those who knew about this beforehand, and for others who hadn't heard about the situation yet.
