Buffalo Technology has for some time manufactured very nice routers, for not that much money. (Briefly, someone sought to stop them from selling in the US with some sort of legal patent trickery, and as a result they're still difficult to find in US retail stores, but online it's pretty easy.) They also happen to be very easy to put DD-WRT on, which transforms them into fantastic routers - and Buffalo is completely aware of this, which makes them awesome.
I found one that does 802.11n, for the same price as a basic 802.11g Linksys router. I should also point out that the processor in this Buffalo Wireless-N router is around twice as fast as the one in said Linksys router, so it should be blazingly fast.
