[ It's once again a Gym Battle with Asuka vs. Bugsy! And where Asuka, despite only having one Pokémon with a Flying Advantage (TAKE THAT half-fighters), should have had no problems, she forgot to take into consideration that Bugsy MIGHT have taught his Pokémon a few status-inflicting moves ( Read more... )

azalea, fighting without trading cards, always end with a flourish, damn bugs, every moment is a duelist moment

I'm glad your pokemon is okay, miss. The gym battles would be too easy if they were all the same, but there's nothing wrong in training some more. I hope the rest of the your pokemon will be okay and congra--

[Before she was able to finish, Heartless, the Shuppet, will appear on screen without much warning. Aerith will scream and fall backwards while Shuppet holds the pokegear laughing it's head off.]

Shuuuu pet!

[Stupid trainer!]

[Oh look! Shuppet is rather interested in the female trainer on the screen. Oh watch the pokemon's eyes glow while smirking darkly. Luckily no one can tell the evil plans he's making now.]

Ah--

[ before she can even BEGIN to say thank you, what the Shuppet-- Asuka's seen Hayate's, so it's not like it's too startling, but she does jump a bit at that entrance. ... And then narrows her eyes. ]

Please return that to your trainer.

[Heartless will shake his head.]

Shup shu.

[Make me.]

[It will keep hogging the pokegear until it disappears in a flash of red while the pokegear falls to the ground. It'll be dark for a few moments until Aerith picks up the gear.]

Why I haven't gotten rid of him? I'll never know...

[She'll clean the pokegear a bit before giving the other female a weak smile.]

Sorry about that. Heartless tends to bu--play pranks on me.

The Ghost-types do tend to do that, so I'm not that surprised. But naming it "Heartless"... seems like a strong indication.

Well, I named him "Heartless" for a different reason to be honest. Shuppets look almost like the creatures from my world. They're called Heartless.

But...the name fits my Shuppet a little too well. I'm having trouble keeping him in his pokeball or even under control.

[She smiles a bit.] Are you...by any chance, Miss. Tenjoin?

I see... [ somewhat, but upon hearing her name, Asuka ceases the pensive expression. ]

I'm Asuka Tenjoin, yes. Was there something I could help you with? [ ... though she's suspecting it might have something to do with that Shuppet. ]

There is... [And if she's suspecting it has something to do with the Shuppet, then she guess right.]

I heard from Mitsuru about the idea of organizing classes for rowdy pokemon. I didn't know when you two were going to organize it until you spoke up about it. [She smiles happily.] I'm glad I found the right person. Mitsuru told me your...last name.

[Oh right! Introductions might be a good idea.]

I'm Aerith. And just like I told Mitsuru, I'm willing to help you organize this idea. It really does sound like a great idea.

[ Asuka's expression softens into a warmer smile. ] It's nice to meet you, Aerith, and any help is appreciated. I was just attempting to work out how best to go about it, since it would be inconvenient if there were classes held in only one city.

Yeah. It's nice to meet you too, Asuka.

[She nods her head in agreement.]

It would be inconvenient. But if you want to organize these classes in different towns, it sounds like you'll need more people to become teachers. Do you have other helpers?

At the moment, no. I'd like to have people with some experience, or at least the ability to discipline effectively. Since the majority of the inhabitants are either young or likely to spoil their Pokémon, it's been difficult.

I'm not sure how many people have experience in discipline, but... [She wonders.] What if you could gather as many people willing to help? That way you and Mitsuru can train the group how to discipline. Once they learn how to do it, then you can scatter all those trainers all over Johto to help others how to calm their rowdy pokemon.

That's a good idea! If we can teach them, then we all know we're at the same level, and I'd be more comfortable knowing that there's at least one to help out in every city.

Exactly! It's the best way to organize a really big project like this. We don't know how huge Johto is or how many people are like you and Mitsuru -- the types who love their pokemon, but discipline too.

It's best to teach the handful of volunteers first. It might be a lot quicker to do too.

I'll be sure to make a network post asking for volunteers very soon. Getting an early start is always a good idea for any sort of massive project.

Mmm, that's very true.

I'll keep an eye out for the network post and ask around myself. I'm sure I'll be able to get one or two more people interested from my own travel group. If that's okay?

That's perfectly fine. Thank you, Aerith.
