Cross-stitch photos
Okay, so lrdrandallslady and I were talking about cross stitching on pos_sess_ed's thread on beading. She showed me some of hers and I promised to show her some of mine :)
The first is a piece I kept for myself and actually showed at the university art show when i was in BEd. Really proud of this piece and it's one of only maybe 3 of all i've done over the years that is mine.
1920s ladies. These i gave to my brother's fiancee for christmas two years ago. They're embroidery floss and seed beads. The beads are in the necklace on the first and the flowers on the jacket of the other.
Thi is the beginnings of a blanket i'm making for my brother and his fiancee for their wedding. I'm working with kanji and their meanings. now that is the kanji for eternity, not truth. i'm currently writing the word eternity on the other side of it, and then on the otherside of truth will go that kanji. i'll take that pic once its' done. it's so big i hvae to use a massive floor hoop stand.
and this is one of my dog for wiccan. it needs to go verticle. anyway, i put my blanket on my chair the other day and turned around for a minute adn there she was curled up on it. she doens't sit on this chair ever...except when my blanket is on it. same on the couch. if my blanket is on the couch, she's sleeping on it. Contessa does love and appreciate her comforts.
