There was a good article about this incident and it's implications on NPR this morning, but I couldn't find the link. Basically, the gist is if you say something bad about the US government, they now have the right to detain you for mental evaluation for 30 days - without question or representation. It was made very clear that this was NOT an arrest, but a mental evaluation. Can you imagine what would happen to you (job, bills, etc) if someone pulled you away without notice for 30 days?!? In this country, you'd be lucky to have anything left when you got out!
Uh, oh. I just spoke out against the supposed legitimate actions of the FBI.
I hope I am not dragged away in front of my neighbors when I get home tonight...
