To Hell and Back Again: A Student’s Story

Dec 04, 2007 12:56

It started innocently.

Thursday:

Table Tennis with Takeshi and his roommate then Kobe’s Bar and Grill where we shared food.  Back at the REC I played volleyball with the Japanese until exhaustion before going to be bed, thinking what fun that night was.

Friday:

Woke up feeling like I’d rather throw myself off my apartment’s third floor balcony than work.

1st sign something was wrong:  Everyone was in t-shirts and pants while I was wrapped in three layers of coats and still shivering.

2nd clue:  At home after sleeping for four hours I can’t even make it out the door to go to HEB before I start stumbling and getting dizzy and my room mate directs me back to bed.

I asked a nice friend to get me groceries that night.

Saturday:

After a whole night of sleeping my fever is back down, but I still don’t feel the best so I call into work sick.  Later I’m feeling much better and think, ‘yeah I’m getting over this’.  My room mate and I go to eat with Takeshi and Taiki at Tai Tai’s before hanging out at Takeshi apartment where he scares me half to death by doing way… WAY to good of an impression of the shinigami from the Grudge.

After leaving, I take my room mate to HEB and Target, but I wait in the car because I’m starting to feel… really bad again.  By the time we’re back home my fever is back worse than ever.  I collapse to sleep it off.

Sunday:

Awful, awful, awful.

Monday:

Mom picks me up and takes me to Physician’s Assistant and they say of all the plagues out there, all I have is a sinus infection.  I’m like what!?  That’s it?!

So they drug me up real nice and now I’m feeling much better.
Dad drives me to Northridge where I take my 3rd Jap 1 exam and then to Which Which to eat.

Moral of the story:  Hooked on Drugs worked for me! :D

The End.

sinus infection?!!!!
