Unfortunately for the last four days I've been stricken with terrible cold symptoms. Today, I had to call out sick from work and proceeded for the rest of the day to just lay in bed and do as little as possible. This morning was pretty rough, my throat was giving me a lot of pain. I had called my mom and asked her if she could take me to the doctors office, but she couldn't because she was tied up at work. She suggested I run to CVS and ask the pharmacist what they would suggest... I thought silently to myself that the pharmacist probably wouldn't even believe that my cold symptoms were for real, and that obviously the real reason I needed the cold medicine was to make my usual dose of Methamphetamine. The scenario would play out in like this. I would politely approach the pharmacist, more then likely looking very ill, and ask him or her what they would suggest for my cold symptoms, the fever, coughing, congestion and so on. I would most likely be carded right there on the spot, and then subsequently questioned about the real nature of my illness, obviously my burning desire to make a brand new batch of my yummy, Methamphetamine.
I guess what I'm trying to get at is, come on everyone, it's 2008, let's take a real look at how well mankind is doing at the present time. I don't know about everyone else but I was super, ecstatic that Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant. Oh, and that Brett Michael's is doing yet, another season of Rocker of Love, surely this season he will most defiantly find that one scantily clad, drunken female that will sweep him off his feet for sure...
In the meantime, Crude Oil Prices are at the highest they have ever been, 99 dollars per barrel. More foreclosed homes are predicted, more unemployment, more bullshit. The War in Iraq is still going on, as well as our government's plans for world domination in the name of democracy. The genocide in Darfur still continues, global warming is still considered a joke...
What the fuck everybody? Come on now. The more and more I watched the t.v today the more it infuriated me. The media and the technology in this new, digitalized 2008 has blinded us to what is really important in our lives. It's not just, what has America become, what have we become? We live in an age of distraction, for example, people typing on their sidekicks every fucking two seconds. Okay, remove yourself away from the screen and come back to reality. No more wasted time in computer limbo, a scramble and jumble of bits of words and phrases. I can't see how an entire generation of kids has learned to understand weird texting lingo, but in turn finds it harder and harder to actually read and write their own language.
2008. This is fucking 2008, and this is where mankind is. We live in a place that is completely globalized by corporate greed and corruption, not in the name of what is best for people, but for individual power. I guess this is the time to decided what kind of person each of us wants to be amongst the chaos. Start thinking, fucking mobilize.
