Almost Ready to hit the road...
I worked my last day at my job on sunday, the first fetter has been cut! Spent the last few days helping with the 16 Volt/Chemlab show. Was good to see 16 Volt play, I haven't listened to them much in the last few years mostly because they remind me of an ex I'm still in hate with.
We've been spending a lot of time in kennsington market lately, it's a nice little scene VERY close knit. I worked the door at our show @ rearview mirror on may 1st, and I accidently asked one of the old punk veterans for cover; "BUT I LIVE HERE!!!" He protested "...well you can get in free if you want, but my friend drove all the way from Hamilton to play this show..." "No! Forget it, I don't want to come in now!" He spent the rest of the night sulking in the doorway like a big 5 year old, leaning his bike against our van and jerking off the antenae.
I will really miss playing with Adaptive Reaction this summer...along with all the great shows that are happening in Toronto this summer...like Iggy and the Stooges PLAYING FOR FREE!!!! grrrrrrr. I've been checking out events in the cities were in during tour; montreal seems to really be into music and projections, and free festivals!
I'm looking forward to making new friends, hearing some music, watching some great performances.
Right now I'm kind of sad, it's going to hard saying good-bye to Myke for that long, like leaving behind my right arm, I will think of him every time I look down at my left.
