(no subject)
Quick post to say that yes, I am, in fact, still alive, just not updating much recently. The past week has been crazy with work and trying to get over a minor cold I caught from Adam. So here are the highlights, I guess:
- Saw "Star Trek" last weekend and LOVED it. I may have to see it again before it leaves the theaters.
- Adam's family reunion was fun. We spent some quality time with his brother, sister, brother-in-law, and the niece and nephew and I got to meet some of his extended family.
- Went to Indy last Tuesday to see Elton John and Billy Joel with Adam in a luxury box paid for by his company for all the managers and their significant others. Met some of his coworkers, including both the president and the CEO, ate some food, saw a good show. It was fun, other than it being a pretty late night.
- Adam and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary this past weekend. He loved his telescope and has already had some success with it! He bought me a really nice digital picture frame and loaded it with pictures of us. :) We also went out for a nice dinner at Grazie, which was delicious. I still can't quite believe we've already been together a year! The time has gone by really fast and yet I can't really remember what I did before I met him. Either way, I'm so grateful to have him in my life and I'm so excited we're now working towards year two!
- This weekend our friends Ryan and Erin are coming down from Ft Wayne to visit! The plan is to go to the Irish Lion and do the tour and tasting at Oliver Winery. Not sure what else may be on the agenda yet but it'll be fun to actually hang out in Bloomington on my weekend off and have Adam and his friends down here.
- I start work at my new store exactly two months from today! I can't believe how fast time is going, but I'm anxious to finally move up to Indy and be closer to Adam. I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to the Bloomington store and all the awesome people I work with here, but I do know I'll be leaving having made some pretty good friends.
On that note, I need to get ready for work and head out. What's everyone else been up to?
