(no subject)
This has been an interesting day! I got an e-mail from miss Abby J yesterday and I've been chatting with Melissa for most of the evening and I realized it's been way too long since I've talked to anyone! Granted I read lj and blogs and see everyone's facebook and twitter feeds but it's not the same as an actual conversation, you know? Combined with spending most of the day on the couch watching "Sex and the City" on dvd, it really made me miss everyone a lot! Of course we're all super busy with our jobs, boyfriends, etc. but I feel bad, at least, that I've been such a hermit here in my own little world. Sometimes I forget what it was like when we all lived here and had so much girls-only time; now if I'm not at work or with Adam on the weekends, I am usually alone, so there's really no excuse not to send an e-mail or an IM and yet, here we are. Of course, I think we all get sort of wrapped up in things and it's easy to let things like that fall by the wayside, right? Still, I don't particularly like that there's all this potential stuff happening in your lives that I'm been totally unaware of and vice versa. So I hope to be more conscious of that, cause rest assure that it is completely unintentional...
Anyway, after that you'd think I'd have more to report on, but I doubt it's anything I haven't mentioned in my last couple of lj posts. Next weekend is Chicago, the weekend after is Death Cab in Louisville and then Easter at Adam's parents' house. Disney trip is in a little over a month and my one-year anniversary with Adam is not too long after that (holy crap!)... I'm definitely looking forward to vacation, especially since it's with him and it's over his birthday weekend. ;-) I've started apartment hunting in Indy but I've only looked at a couple places so far. I'm still waiting to hear about my transfer (where, when, etc.) but my boss is setting up a meeting for me with the Fishers store team lead for when he's at our store next week. Assuming that's where I'll end up, I'm hoping to move sometime in mid-July, and where to will heavily depend on how much I get for my annual raise so I can figure out exactly what I can afford. I would LOVE to live at the place I saw that's literally walking distance to that store, but it's a little out of my price range... Still, even if I go for one of the cheaper places in Castleton I'm only looking at a 20 minute or so drive to work with traffic, so that's not bad. I've thought about the possibility of having a roommate but I really don't know anyone up there other than Adam and I don't want to live with a stranger, so I've pretty much vetoed that idea. As soon as I find something, I'll post a link with pics and what not and I definitely want visitors if anyone is so inclined! :)
So yeah. My next few months in a nutshell. For now I should maybe head to bed so I can be well rested for my short(er) day at work tomorrow... gotta cut some overtime I have from staying late last night. But what's everyone else been up to?
