Life Plans!
So! I am approaching half-way through my biology course (because I hardly ever work on it because I am still and always will be a procrastinator). I just checked and my first aid and CPR training do not expire until September 2012. I am pretty much ready to apply to paramedics programs and be in a position where they will actually accept me (assuming most are cool with me just writing a math equivalency test *shudder*). I still need to get my g2, though most programs accept people with learners permits and I may be able to swing taking drivers ed in the late summer or early fall.
I am currently thinking about adopting a dog. One in particular. His name is Karl and he is beautiful and sounds like the sweetest guy in the world. I honestly think I could manage a dog, even in the apartment. I would be walking him morning and evening and spending plenty of time with him on the roof or in parks. I would prefer spending more time outside than inside on my laptop and Karl would force me to do so. He would also force me to be much cleaner and to think my actions through far more thoroughly than I am used to doing. Food and pet insurance (because I would never be able to afford and illness or injury) are less than many people pay for iphones each month. The problem lies 3 or 4 years down the road when I will hopefully be doing aid work.
