The New LJ Header is Kinda Cute.

Other possible titles for this post include "I don't really have anything to say" and "Aright, maybe I have stuff to say, but I am mad lazy."

Still with Greenpeace. Though I am not very good at my job and I think I am going to hand out resumes to flower shops this weekend.

I got my British passport. It was such a relief, as I honestly wasn't sure if they were going to give it to me. But now it is mine, and inside, under "nationality" it says "british citizen", which is pretty cool. I feel a bit like James Bond.

I wrote out over 40 Christmas cards and sent most of them in a giant package to my mum in Canada. From there she'll stamp them and send them all out within the country. Saves on postage. Other than that, the only Christmas stuff I'm doing this year are donations to kiva.org for family members, books to my cousins, and a little something I will reveal probably next week. (As if it's a week till Christmas eve!)

It has been two months since I threw my Halloween/going away party. This is the longest I've been away from home. I am not really sure how I feel about it all... I mean, I miss having a group of friends, but the groups had more or less dissolved by the time I left. I do miss my family, and I worry about not being there for my mum and about my dad doing silly things. Despite having the job and all the paperwork sorted out, I am still not really settled here. I am still at my Aunt's place (everyone is absolutely amazing, by the way, and I love getting to see so much of my cousin), which means I am a 20 minute bus ride from town, and have not really met anyone. Hopefully getting a flat and flatmates will change that, but I don't know... I don't really know how one goes about making friends or even meeting people... I mean, you can meet them when you go out, but if you have no one to go out with you don't go out- or at least if I don't meet people I don't end up going out. Ah well. I will hopefully start roller derby in February, and maybe start rock climbing again. Those could help.

Anyway, I guess that's an update. I will try and post more often, but I am terrible for procrastinating, so sometimes I need a prod.

Cheers all!
