Schoolies

Nov 21, 2011 22:33

So the trip consisted of me and nine friends hiring a house down the coast and staying there for a week. Far better than camping, and really close to the beach, with no adults. The place we stayed at was Lake Tabourie, but to get there we had to drive just over two hours.

Took us four.
Behind here be many photos, a bad joke or two and shows how horrible I am at taking pictures... )

many photos, my life, you're probably not interested...., going away~, exams are over, doing it right, my life is awesome, holiday

Hi! I came from your post in the Hetaween Meme. I go by the same screen name at FFNet.

I myself also do not have favorite characters, and can't decide who should have won the costume contest. I think everyone should have won as long as the costume is not nasty or improper. I don't like incest either.

I know what you mean about exams. I've been through them. I didn't lost sleep or social life during the event since I didn't even know about it. All I knew was there was a Halloween strip, and some discussion at LJ, but nothing about an event.

Your puppy is cute and pretty. What kind of dog is that?

You are beautiful, too. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Did you have a week of school break?

Awesome! Nice to meet you. =)

I know! They were all so amazing...picking is so hard. And I just have all the characters as my favourite.

Everyone has... why must we be tortured like this?! Ah... that sucks. I mean, the losing sleep was a bit bad but the event was amazing. There's another one for Christmas- maybe you should look out for that?

He's a Border Collie. An odd colour, I know.

*blushes* Thank you. Ah, no. I just finished school so we went on a trip to celebrate.

Sorry I forgot about your comments, and it has taken too long to get back to you. The past year has been so busy for me.

Thanks! Nice to meet you too.

Many things are hard to choose.

Exams have lost their purpose. They don't show how much we learned, but are just used to assign grades and decide what will happen.

I didn't participate in the Christmas one either, especially since I was at my parents' house with limited computer access. I also don't have time.

I heard that border collies are smart and hyper. I like the color of your dog.

A trip is a good way to celebrate.

Hope you don't mind me popping in from the sherlockbcc comm but just wanted to say: CONGRATS ON FINISHING SCHOOL! And getting through exams. Oh the exams. So many practice exams. It is literally the best feeling - now just everything else.

And also getting out of Schoolies alive which can be a bit of a risk - those were some wild times for myself. :)

It's fine! If I minded this would be a private entry. =)

Thank you! I am so so glad it's over- I don't know how I survived the work load at some points! Now, to live through University.

...Yeah, my friends and I are boring. We had no alcohol on Schoolies and spent most of the time playing video games. Had heaps of fun. =D

Nothing boring about just chilling out. In my firm opinion Schoolies is about hanging out with your friends and having fun. Its a celebration. My friends and I managed to get our way through BBC Pride and Prejudice, a lot of Brit Rom-Coms, and a few games of Monopoly (which I believe was a far greater risk than any alcohol we consumed bahaha)

And yes the work load ... the goddamn work load ... oh well its done :)

Yeah, we did really prefer hanging out to anything else we could have done for Schoolies- the majority of us being under 18 also a major reason for just chilling. We didn't manage to get any board games going (unless Mario Party counts?) but we managed a marathon game of Buzz Jungle Party (in French because why not?). And I did love midday being an acceptable wake up time. =)

Some of that is just the teachers being cruel. There's no way it can be anything else!
