Um, what is up with everyone loving Family Guy? It's really not good. It's not funny. It's the same damn joke every episode. Let's make a recycled version of The Simpsons and throw in some of South Park's jokes so it's edgier. Peter says something random along the lines of, "Remember when we shucked corn with Anderson Cooper?" How is that funny? Stewie and Brian do something zany together in a Bart Simpson devil may care sort of way. Lisa, I mean Meg is treated poorly. I get it, she's fat and no one (including her family) likes a fat girl. That's good for two jokes right there. Chris is stupid, but that's okay because he's a boy. Lets bring that up about five or six times. Lois is completely ignorant of everything around her save her inexplicable love for the unlovable Peter. Peter has a wide range of diverse friends, a token African American, a wheelchair bound police officer, and a lech. They hang out in their own version of Moe's complete with a less than stellar barkeep. Wow, a dumbed down version of The Simpsons.
Is it worth an Emmy? Shit no. It's not even worth the nomination. However if Seth MacFarlane were nominated for a punch to the nuts I'd be first in line to give him a jab in the pills.
