Emily starts third grade tomorrow. We went last minute school shoe shopping yesterday. The funny thing is that Emily the shoe nut she's been since the age of two normally selects a pair of Sketchers at her shoe of choice. She love their shoes. However this year she chose a pair of Red shoes. Why did she select those? Very simple, brilliant marketing. If you want more girls to buy your shoes show celebs that they idolize wearing them. She saw two different commercials one with Vanessa Hudgens and one with Ashley Tisdale. Oh well. On the one hand they are really cute with little rhino charms and rhinestones on them. On the other, grrr marketing works.
Either way she's growing up and really happy with her new shoes. Her first day of school outfit has been picked out for weeks. She's very excited. She likes her new teacher, which is very important to me. I'll explain a different time since this is about Emily. She is already planning to buy lunch tomorrow. The only bummer is that her best friend is in another class, but that is okay since we do a lot of stuff with her such as going to spend a weekend at Disney World with them on Emily's birthday in a few weeks. :)
All in all this is going to be a good year.
shopping,
