Let's do the time warp again!!

Nov 03, 2006 17:30

Yay it's Friday 2:00 p.m.! 3 more hours of work and I've got enough to keep me busy until then. This week has been busy with work since the manager and the director general are out of the office. The phones have been quiet but we have enough with their workload to do with our own. That's why today 5 of us went out for lunch at pub italia and had alcohol! Second Friday in a row that I go drinking during work hours. Government workers are apparently very big alcoholics... I fit right in. I'm really loving my job and they're talking about putting me in this position permanently. This is so exciting! I've been with Natural Resources Canada for a month and they're already talking about making me a permanent employee. I love this place so much and I feel like I belong and I love my co-workers!!

On Tuesday I met Laurie at Mayfair for poutine and Rocky Horror Show Picture! I was dressed in my puck bunny and a bunch of us sat in the back because we didn't want dry toast and confetti thrown at us! Being a Rocky Horror Show Picture virgin, I was curious to see why everyone loved that movie so much. The closest I had gotten to see it was Rudy Galindo's program at Sk8 with Elvis which in itself was very entertaining! So I loved the movie and really enjoyed meatloaf on a motorcycle!! We even did the time warp but I was kinda clueless on the moves. After the movie, I headed home and pretty much went straight to bed since I had major overtime this week. I worked 40 hours this week plus school and skating. A little crazy I think, but my paycheck is going to be sweet!!!

I've been updating back and forth since 2:00.... it is now 4:30 so I have 30 minutes left before I head over to St-Laurent to do a bit to meet an old co-worker for dinner and then do a bit of shopping at garage clothing. I love that store so much and I know I can easily spend hundreds of dollars.... but I'll contain myself.

No big plans for the weekend, but that always changes. So I'm off to do a bit of work before leaving for a lovely weekend.

Love Always
Karen
