Is the good old hockey game!!!
Man this weekend is going in the books! Just the hockey game was a blast on its own! We got to Scotiabank Place about half an hour before the game started and headed to the box office and bought tickets at $25 a piece. Yeah we were sitting quite high up but the energy was so hardcore, it didn't matter where you were sitting. So the game started and who scores first... that's right Jason Spezza! Now all of a sudden, the people who were booing him on Thursday, were cheering their heads off for this guy. There were a few guys booing him for mishandling the stick but we yelled back at them saying he was awesome for scoring the first goal! A few minutes after that, Brian Gionta scored which would be the only goal for New Jersey, but I was still a little nervous for the Sens. Emery was so solid though and I still think he deserves being number one since Gerber hasn't really proved himself at this point. Of course we were yelling at Martin Brodeur who was having a really off night. Heatley also scored a goal which made me happy because he's been having a little problem scoring in these past few games. We were dancing and clapping along all night... that my hands were hurting and my throat was soar. Finally Sens fans got what they've been itching for since the season began.... a free slice of pizza because we won with over six goals and our first win at home! Actually there was an article in the Ottawa Sun stating that Jason Spezza was ready to by the fans a slice of pizza each if they couldn't win. It would of been such a small consolation prize, instead we ripped New Jersey apart with a 8-1 victory! Of course I blew a kiss for Brian Gionta for Brenda and one for Flo's hottie Bryan Murray! I'm thinking of going to the Toronto game on Thursday which will probably be just as hyped because we hate those Toronto Maple Leafs and the battle of Ontario is on! I'm also thinking of going to Toronto in my jersey and yelling "GO SENS GO!!" at the top of my lungs. I'll warn people to send out a search party if no one hears from me in 24 hours!
Now last night when talking to a few people, I've decided that my fairy costume will be put away until next year because for halloween I'm going as Danny Heatly's puck bunny. The short shirt, knee high boots, excessive make-up, topped off with a tight Heatly shirt and maybe bunny ears. I just need to invest in a Danny Heatly shirt which won't be hard to find!! As Lindsay Lohan once said in the only movie I can stand to watch her in: Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.
