blizzard = /fail.
this is the third blizzcon they've planned. they announced the convention in may. they announced ticket sales weeks ago.
and what do they have to show for it?
a sales site that has been taken offline at least 2 times today for emergency maintenance. hundreds, if not thousands, of blizzard fans glued to computer screens, receiving error message after error message. and a woeful, woeful lack of informational updates.
on top of it all, their customer service agents are actually getting testy with forum posters, which is a huge no-no when it's not the customers' faults they're aggravated.
blizzard has a buttload of money and intelligent employees. and yet we're well into the 7th hour of blizzcon tickets being "on sale" with only a handful of people actually successfully purchasing tickets, and the rest sitting around with no info to work off of.
.... i <3 WoW, and blizzard. but this is epic failure. i don't know which section - tech, management, etc. - is quote on quote responsible, but at this point, it's not so much about the issue as how it's been handled. i'm faintly reminded of FEMA, on an obviously less dire scale. that's not a good feeling.
and for the LOVE OF GOD blizzard, take down that damn post on WoW.com saying you fixed the problem!! that's just a lie.
love (a frustrated) kittie
wow,
