Hi, I'm Jessica, I'm 16 years old and 3 weeks pregnant.
I'm not to sure how to break it to my boyfriend, everytime I bring up having kids one day hes all like "your not pregnant right?" and I keep telling him I'm not. When I do say I want a baby to him he says "no until we're older" and that it will mess our lives up in a big way and everything ( Read more... )

I agree with all the above posters - tell your boyfriend ASAP. It's important to get it out in the open, and knowing how he will deal with it all will help you to make a decision.

A lot of the other commenters gave you lots of good information, so I don't plan to repeat it all. But what helped me most during pregnancy was my family support. My parents at first were disappointed, of course, that their daughter was pregnant at 16, (I had my daughter when I was 17) but in the end they supported my decision. (I am about to turn 18 now :-) )I depend on them, a lot, and I'm not sure if I could have done it without them. In the week I found out I was pregnant I immediately started taking action. I had a doctors appointment, talked with counselors to see what I could do about school, contacted places like WIC and everything. I was able to take summer school and graduate from school a year early, and then attend college the next year and take night courses once the baby was born. For some people, they deal with teen pregnancy just fine, and it helps them to grow. I do not regret choosing to keep my daughter, she is the most wonderful thing to happen to me.

Talk to people. Counselors, parents, your boyfriend. It will be tough, but it is something that needs to be done. The beginning couple weeks I think was the hardest on me emotionally, lots of crying. But you will get through it.

If you have any more questions, just let me know. I'd love to chat.
