I am suppose to get a flu shot soon and am very hesitant about doing so. Does anyone have any advice? I don't know if it is a good idea or not. I am 33w and just trying to do whats best for baby and me.

A friend of mine has never had the chicken pox, so she got the varicella series -- but it didn't work, apparently, and her last blood test for immunity came back negative. At the same time, she's TTC, but she'd have to put that on hold if she re-took the series, because it's a live vaccine ( Read more... )

So, I am 29 weeks pregnant, and I will be taking a short clinical class in a few weeks, at which point I'll be about 34 weeks pregnant. In order to take the class, I must have the Hep B vaccine. I work at a preschool with mostly 3-5 year olds at a private Montessori school.  We also have elementary age kids up to age 10.  One or two of the students have confirmed Fifth Disease and some others have shown signs.  Another student even had Scarlet Fever!  One reason I'm worried is because the school is private and full of hippy types who ( Read more... )

So my baby just had his first round of shots at his 2 month appointment on 4/15. He's been sleeping nonstop and been very fussy. Crying for no reason every so often...
