Announcing gender
We have our 20 week anatomy scan exactly a week before Christmas. Both my mom and my in-laws are impossible to shop for, so we were thinking about telling them on Christmas as a part of their gift. They know the date of the ultrasound already (especially my mom who will be babysitting our 2 year old while we both go) so we're going to have to lie and say the baby wasn't cooperating, which we're fine with doing. I just need ideas of cute/creative ways to announce the gender.
We always go to my in-laws house on Christmas Day for gifts. I don't want to do the whole 'big box full of colored balloons' thing because we'd have to get it there -- our car is tiny and so is their house. I also don't want anything that has to do with food or desserts. I'm on a VERY strict low carb (basically no carb) diet for this pregnancy and it would just be torture for me! I have a few ideas but I'm not overly fond of them. So, creative minds, give me what ya got!
