As the subject says, I'm 35w2 days, this is my first pregnancy. My blood pressure's been pretty high my whole pregnancy, my OB told me the appointment before last he might have to induce me a couple weeks early, as it was 137/91, but he said never mind last appointment, as it had gone down to 130/84. My blood pressure was normal through my entire pregnancy but I started to swell when I was around 30 weeks. First it was my hands, not enough to notice until I lost the feeling in my fingers which at first I attributed to carpal-tunnel (I'm a hairstylist so I have some symptoms of that anyway and it can be exacerbated by pregnancy). I tried wearing the wrist splints, NOTHING HELPED.

Then around 33 weeks, my feet started to swell and I tried cutting out salt. Nope. I asked my doctor if I should be worried about preeclampsia, but she said that swelling in general is not as much of a worry. That BP and instantaneous swelling along with protein in the urine is.

Well, I was induced at 37.5 weeks due to my blood pressure not stabilizing after a vomitting episode. It would be normal, then high, then normal, high, etc. on complete bedrest in hospital on monitors, so they induced me to avoid me becoming preeclamptic.

My babe was 8lb1oz, and was ready to come anyway. While I wanted to go into labor on my own, I had a very uneventful induction with no complications
