Hi everyone.

I have an exercise question.

Prior to pregnancy I loved to workout. I like to work our frequently and I loved to push myself. I definitely tended to be an over-exerciser and I kinda (okay, really) liked over exerting myself.

Since becoming pregnant I have erred on the side of caution and while I have worked out, it has only averaged to about 2-MAYBE 3 times a week, counting my retail job 3 days a week where I am on my feet walking quickly all day long. I know myself too well, and decided I would rather under-do it than over do it and risk injuring myself or hurting my baby in some way.

I am 22w4d now and am very much wanting to find a happy medium. I know that increasing my exercise a bit will only help me and my baby. And make it easier to get back in shape after my son comes. For the first time I am interested in workouts that will do more than make my body look good and ease my anxieties. I want ones that will keep my body strong during pregnancy and labor.

I have access to an elliptical which I like to go on for thirty minutes at a time. I have light free weights and have a relatively good understanding of weight/strength training workouts.

I guess I am in search of some good, healthy pregnancy workout routines. I hear a lot of "Anything you did before pregnancy is usually ok". But for me that is not true. :P I am no longer interested in pushing too hard and hurting myself.

What exercise routines did you keep up during pregnancy? Any YouTube videos or DVDs to recommend? Any movements that helped keep you strong during pregnancy and labor?

Sorry so rambly and long winded! Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
