How much is it worth to know your very exact due date?
I ask because I have fairly irregular cycles. They go from 28 days to 40 days. I took my pregnancy test on day 36 of my cycle and it came up positive.
The doctor and the Internet put me at 5w2d pregnant because of the date of my last period, which makes sense, because of my irregular cycle, couldn't I be up to 12 days further or less along?
The doctor gave me a referral for a dating ultrasound because I insisted. I had one with my last pregnancy and it gave me a date 4 days later than the estimated due date.
This time though, things have changed a bit and the ultrasound is no longer free but $70.
I haven't got $70 spare, but I could cut back in other areas to get it.
Would you pay for it? The hospital I am going to give birth at has a 'induce at 40w+10' rule. My first birth was spontaneous on the due date.
