Pain Meds While Preggo
So I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. I have a history of bad knees and I've had surgery on both of them twice. Today I tweaked my left knee which is very weak pretty badly. Midwife said to go to urgent care and follow whatever they say. So, off I go. Tell the nurse and doctor that I'm 39 weeks and they don't take an x-ray but he does wrap it and prescribe me Vicodin.
I'm a bit nervous to take it this late. I mean, midwife and doc seem on board but you still hear so much that tells you "no". But I'm at the point where I can't get comfortable or even rest. Tylenol doesn't help, ice, heat, elevation, nothing is working.
Anyone else been prescribed something very late in pregnancy that people typically tell you that you CANNOT take? Thanks guys...
