First ultrasound.

First off, thank you to everybody's replies on my skin issue :)  I've been drinking a lot more and it's been helping a little bit.

I have my first ultrasound this friday (at 8 weeks, 4 days)  but i'm a bit unsure of what to really expect because it's still so early. 
Have any of you had one around that time or early? How did it go?
