Hey ladies!

The father of my baby is 6'7 and was a ten pound, 23 inches long baby. ::swallow:: It goes without saying I'm pretty curious how big my baby is going to be. I've heard that most girls sometime in their third trimester are told how big the baby is going to be but I haven't heard anything about the size of my baby from the ob. I've also heard a big reason girls have c-sections is when the baby has a head that's too big to fit through the birth canal properly, but how and when do they determine that? I've only had one ultrasound and when I asked my nurse, she said my insurance only covered one ultrasound, so I don't know how they are going to figure this out.If my baby really is going to be around ten pounds, I'd like to know and prepare myself or consider having a c-section. I've also heard a lot of mention of biophysical profiles on here - what exactly are those and when do you get one?

surgical birth, size of the baby, prenatal testing
