Painting while pregnant?
I'm 13 and a half weeks pregnant. I read in one of my pregnancy books not to paint while pregnant. I also read don't eat lunch meat and hot dogs (both of which my doctor said were okay in moderation). My doctor never said anything to me about not painting while pregnant. My DH and I just recently bought a house and I let him paint the living room (becuase I thought I didn't have a choice) and its turned out AWFUL. Its streaky, splotchy, and he's made a mess. Now I love him dearly but he's clearly (despite what he's said) never painted a room before.
I grew up in a house where we painted all the time so I've had some experience and am completely stubborn and want it done right. We're (he) is using Behr paint and I've been googling the 'net looking for information on painting and everywhere I look says its okay just as long as you take breaks and have your windows wide open.
I'm look for other women's experiences. I'm going to call my doc tomorrow, but what have your doctor's told you or have you done/experienced and seen?
Is it okay to paint?
