I see a 'stroller' tag so I guess it's ok to ask this here? Does anyone know if there's a 'babygear' type community or anything ( Read more... )

We have a stroller and limited space/money/watnot and we opted to spend our money on multiple baby carriers/wraps/slings. Our stroller has been in the garage for several months now ;)

Yeah....I'm hoping to babywear as much as possible (I've done lots of research on carriers too, but they seem so much more straightforward!), but we don't even have a car so I know there will be times when a stroller will be necessary.

I say if the deal is good enough then jump on it! If you come to find later that you'd prefer something else you could always just re-sell the stroller yourself, and maybe even make a profit!

I have a MacClaren, which was pricey but only 17 pounds and good from birth up.

I have two different friends who have bought the City Mini stroller and adore it. It does have a really awesome one handed fold and is super maneuverable.

The hardest part for me when traveling by public transport is the bus requiring me to fold up my stroller.

Usually I just use my Beco and wear my son.

Holy crap! Just looked it up. Good deal if you get it half price! I know some people who drive cars that cost less than a new Bugaboo. I would get it.

We looked at the Bugaboo & the Uppababy vista, since I felt like everyone I saw in T.O. had either one or the other. In the end, we went with the Peg Perego Pliko Switch, which we found for a decently good price here: http://www.lilniblets.com/Peg-Perego-Pliko-Switch-Completo-Java-P10256C7.aspx

We chose this one because it's super easy to fold up, and it's not too heavy. Also I just couldn't justify the price for the other ones.

Also, I feel a little weird about people selling stuff on Craigslist/Kijiji that is brand new and still in the box/still has its tags for half the original price. I'm sure it's perfectly legit, but I still feel strange about it!
