I am semi-accepting of the fact that I have to have a c-section: Prior section in this area of FL require a repeat one, and apparently because of HPV and the displaysia (sp) that was discovered recently, also requires that I have a c-section. What I am grumpy about is the fact that my OB says I have to have it a week to 10 days before my due date. WHY!?! I am guessing to fit into his schedule? Or to avoid it turning into an emergency c-section. Or is it because this is baby #5 and he's worried I'll go into labor and deliver too quickly. I don't know but it's irking the hell out of me - I am a strong believer in letting the baby bake as long as they need and NOT working to a Doctor's schedule to make it more convienient for him.
I don't know. Maybe I'm not making sense, but it's irritating the hell out of me. My hubby, a second year nursing student, says I should just listen to the Dr because he has more experience than me and he's worried about rupturing if I go beyond even 38 weeks. He said I should be grateful that the Drs is letting me to get to 39 weeks before scheduling it.
I don't know. Grrrrrr!
