I'm 25w 1d today. So far my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful - very little nausea (absolutely no vomiting), hardly any RLP. I've just been really tired. Well earlier this week my body started making up for it.

On Tuesday the shortness of breath started. It feels like a fat guy sitting on my chest, like I just can't get enough air. It comes and goes, usually getting worse as the day goes on (and the more activity I do). On Thursday I had to go to the house I still (unfortunately) own with my ex-husband to get some more things, including a buffet table. Did he help me get the table in my car? Of course not. But when I finally got it (and everything else) in he said I was welcome to sit on the steps of the house for as long as I need to catch my breath, then went inside and locked the door (it took 5 mins to catch it enough to feel okay to drive). Anyway the point was that when I lifted the table I felt a sharp-ish pain "down under." Then on Friday I ate some left over gumbo that left me feeling like a blimp all night. This morning I went out for breakfast with my boyfriend and I thought I was going to puke, so we had to rush out of the restaurant. When I got home I laid down and I think I ended up expelling the gas (from both ends, sometimes at the same time) for several hours. I'm still a little gassy but feel better. Now I'm getting sharp pains in my lower abdomen that definitely increase the more active I am.

I had a regular ob/gyn visit on Friday. My doc said everything I'm feeling is normal, and the only time I should be worried about the sharper pains is if they persist, I have contracts, am bleeding, leaking fluid, etc. I personally think the sharper pains are growing pains. Baby hasn't been quite as active the last few days, I've been hungry and my stomach feels like it's getting bigger/heavier.

For those of you who experienced shortness of breath, when did it start? More importantly how did you deal? I don't know if I can take 3 more months of this. My only solace is that with cooler weather sooner I hope I can breathe better (humidity makes it worse).

aches and pains, breathing difficulty
